This was my very first “Go Nuts” sort of website.
This was the first one that I was commissioned to build and had the freedom to build it how I wanted to, as long as all of the information needed was there.
Note: I no longer manage this website and, as far as I know, it has been abandoned, but I’m still so freaking proud of it and wanted to include it in my work.
I began working with websites managing a fellow military spouse’s “Pet Project” called Petawawa Pets.
Being a writer, social media manager, and website administrator for this informational website for pet parents in Petawawa Ontario (where we both lived at the time) led me here in such a round about way.
Because of the management and writing on this website, I followed pet rescue pages, and that’s where I found my Kitchi. Having Kitchi is what led me to needing to learn more about dogs, which lead me to becoming a trainer, and now, full circle, making websites for other trainers. (How cool, right?)
The same Military Spouse who has the Pet project above is actually also a pretty impressive lady who is a successful CEO of a SR&ED Tax Credit Consulting Company called InGenuity Group.
I had the pleasure of recently re-vamping the entire IGS website, after also re-doing her personal website LizLance.ca and the IGS companion website SR&ED Education and Resources. It is a very comprehensive website and I’m pretty proud that she trusts me to manage it.
I was recently asked if I could re-build the website for the Petawawa Minor Soccer Club. It had been a while since I’d built a website from scratch, while also ensuring I had all of the necessary forms and information from the pre-existing website. And oh, boy, was the previous website ever NOT user friendly!
I have to say, I am exceptionally proud of how it turned out and everyone on the PMSC Board was very happy with it, too (phew!)
Three Life Learners has been a passion project for myself. It’s more of a blog than anything else, a place to share my thoughts as a military spouse, as a mom of three (born in less than five years, including two under two for the last two), as well as a space to keep track of my kids adventures in Life Schooling (also known as unschooling, which, put plainly, is just learning through living life rather than someone else’s agenda or curriculum).
I still keep it online as a resource for those families who are new to the idea of homeschooling, or want to learn more about unschooling, and I’m happy that it gets shared quite a bit.
This is my pride and joy right here. It’s my personal Dog Training website, but because I also really want to get all of the best information out there for the public to know what to look for in this unregulated industry, I also turned it into an “Education and Resources” website.
I have a bunch of personally written articles, in depth explanations of all of my services, and (my favourite part) a resource section full of recommendations, information, science-based studies (if you’re into that sort of thing) and … a Skills Learning Library.
The average trainer will not need all of this on their site, but I’m pretty proud of it!
